Welcome to the New Hope Elementary Media Center!
We’re so excited to welcome you and your family to New Hope Elementary! Our Media Center is a vibrant, welcoming space where students are encouraged to discover new authors, explore genres that spark their interests, and develop a lifelong love of reading.
Beyond reading for pleasure, our Media Center also helps students build research and information-literacy skills that will serve them throughout their education. Guided by the North Carolina Media Coordinators/Media Specialists Standards, we focus on:

Reading for Enjoyment and Growth: Encouraging students to select texts that match their interests and reading levels, while introducing them to diverse voices and new authors.

Research and Inquiry: Teaching students how to locate, evaluate, and use information from both print and digital sources responsibly.

Critical Thinking and Digital Citizenship: Helping students learn to ask good questions, think critically about information, and use technology ethically and safely.

Collaboration and Creativity: Partnering with teachers to integrate information-literacy and technology skills into classroom projects.
Our goal is to support every student as a reader, researcher, and responsible digital citizen. We look forward to working with families to help our students grow into confident, curious, and capable learners!
