WCS FALL 2020 Re-entry Survey

We need your input! The first day of school is scheduled for Aug. 17th for our traditional schools. North Carolina education and health officials have shared several possible options for how public schools will reopen in August, but a final decision has not yet been made by the Governor. The list of possibilities is broadly divided into the following categories:

-Plan A: Schools will open as normal with minimal social distancing at 100% capacity. Enhanced health protocols will be required.

-Plan B: Schools will open with moderate social distancing and will be required to operate with no more than 50% capacity. Enhanced health protocols with increased requirements will be required.

-Plan C: Schools will suspend in-person classes and will operate through remote learning for all students.

To help us consider different scenarios and plan for whatever is decided, we have developed a survey for families. Your feedback is very important to us. Thank you for taking a moment to fill out the WCS Fall 2020 Re-entry Survey for Families. All survey submissions are anonymous. The link to the survey can also be found on our district website.

Hurricane Dorian Heroes

We are SO GRATEFUL to Wilson County Emergency Management, law enforcement, firefighters, paramedics, city and county crews, NCDOT, the Red Cross, our WCS Maintenance Department, news outlets and countless others who serve us selflessly during emergencies and inclement weather! Shout Out! to Superintendent Dr. Mills who always errs on the side of caution and seeks advisement from weather experts to keep us safe during inclement weather. He is responsible for the safety and the education of more than 11,000 students and 2,000 staff members - so he does not take the decision to close schools lightly.
